Blauw House
This kitchen is not short of pizazz. Bathed in blue, the kitchen incorporates warm natural timbers and a marble-look quartz benchtop for a tranquil and laid-back design.
With barely enough room to cook a meal, the previous U-shaped kitchen was cramped and lacked serious storage.
Keen for the kitchen to match their colourful home, the owners required a blue-toned space with room to display their collection of trinkets collected overseas.
Long, narrow and located on the first floor of the home, the shape of the room dictated the design solution. The Bora cooktop and rangehood are expertly integrated into the island bench, encouraging a social aspect to the family’s nightly dinners together. The layout allows one person the use the cooktop while the other has their own stretch of the bench to use for preparation.
The blackwood timber dining table adjoins the island for a true kitchen-diner style space, with ample walkways surrounding for practical use.
